YACHTBESCHREIBUNG Galapagos Explorer Kreuzfahrtschiff |

Kommentare und Empfehlungen über diese Galapagosfahrt: wrong, wrong, wrong we spent 7 Tage on the explorer and at no time were we rushed, no one was bumping into each other as groups landed on the islands at different times, the guides were excelent. this was our very first time on a cruise ship so it did not feel the ship was large at all Taken from travel.nytimes.com We did a one week cruise on the Explorer. The excursions were very good and the food on board was excellent for this class of ship. However, watch out for cabin allocation !! We paid for the top level but were allocated a down grade cabin on arrival. We made our disappointment known to the reception staff but all that started was a war of attrition. We were left in the cabin they had allocated for nearly an hour and if I hadn't gone back to reception a number of times threatening to make a fuss in front of other arrivals they would have left us there no doubt hoping we would cave in and accept the low grade accommodation. Eventually we were shown another cabin - still a grade down from what we had paid for. We initially refused this as it wasn't what we had paid for but were told that the ship was waiting to sail and unless we accepted the cabin they were offering we would be put ashore. Taken from tripadvisor.com Dear Diego,
The trip was great, and all the connections went smoothly. The drivers were on time, helpful and courteous, and the staff on the boat was great. Thanks again. Best Regards, Preben Koenig Denmark Maria, We enjoyed the Galapagos cruise very much and all the pickup arrangements were very accurate ! Thanks Giora Bitan Daniela and Jessica, I know I need make no critique of the Galapagos Inseln; everyone knows how unique that experience is! I do want to tell you that the Explorer II was everything we had hoped for and more...Once again, we found the food to be very good, the staff friendly and helpful. The accommodations were perfect (I couldn't believe the size of the cabins! Actually spacious, more like a hotel room than the average ship cabin). Gratefully, Evelyn Ward I chose this boat because I get very seasick. The only time I felt significant motion was when we were anchored off Isabela island, the boat really swayed back and forth that day--- but with motion sickness remedy I did not feel ill, nor did I notice other Passagiere complaining of this. As far as time on the islands, the ship is divided into smaller groups, they stagger the departures of the groups on the pangas to the islands, and they had enough pangas, that it was not like you had to wait for one to come back and forth, the transfers went smoothly without over much waiting, they were pretty efficient. I did not feel we were short changed our time on the islands, the guides were good about allowing enough time for everyone to finish picture taking and ask questions, though every once in awhile had a feeling of needing to move on because the next group may be coming up behind.
